"We do not learn for school, but for life." The current curriculum and set up of school teaches kids to fit in a mold, become uniform, and please others rather than please themselves. Instead of solely learning about English, math, history, and science, students would spend half of their education time learning how to apply the knowledge they're given and where in their life it becomes useful. If the knowledge was specific to a certain career path, it would not be taught in the general education. Rather than public school, the curriculum would be taught to accommodate each student individually: their aspirations, hopes, dreams, and interests. For me personally, I would have tested out of most general credits because school comes easily to me. I would now be focusing my time on spirituality, the philosophy of yoga, and the meaning of life. I would be learning about meditation and training my brain to be present. I would be learning how to step out of focusing on healing myself but instead healing the world. I would learn about the power of energy and breath. I would also learn hands-on. I would travel and meet people and learn from their stories: learning about culture, food, human behaviors, etc. I would be well-rounded and ready to live life.
